The Chinese New Year, also known as the Lunar New Year or Spring Festival, is one of the most important holiday periods in China. For factories , it presents specific logistical challenges. Production slows down, operations are limited, schedules get disrupted, and transportation gets delayed, thus leading to significant supply chain disruptions.

The dates vary each year because it follows the lunar calendar. Usually, the new year falls between January 21 and February 20. Note that preparations for Chinese New Year start three weeks in advance – with factories slowing down, shutting operations, and workers traveling back to their hometowns to celebrate the new year with their families.

In 2024, the Chinese New Year will commence on February 9 (Friday). The main festival will fall on February 10 (Saturday). The festivities will conclude with the Lantern Festival on February 24 (Saturday).

How to maximise control the China factory meet CNY holiday peak season , you need have a good plan on all your orders !

normal China peak season is from Oct to next year April , but Nov to next Year March is the crazy busy time , so during this time , cause all buyer need they samples finish before CNY holiday , and all buyer need they orders finish before CNY holiday , so factory will crazy busy , once when arrange production workmanship made a little mistake which need re-make then will effect whole schedule , will effect other buyer production schedule and maybe will delay shipment , and this problem is very hard avoid , so normal we will suggest buyer arrange production as per below way

1. better place order at Sep. and ship goods before Nov or Dec , this way the shipment time will very safe

2. when place order let fty confirm a deviery time to you before CNY holiday 2 weeks , then this way even can’t ship meet time but still have 2 weeks on hand , still can chase ship out before CNY holiday
